The answers come in the form of ancient old-styled prose, and the Brahmin interprets them and explains after reading the prose aloud. As the letters/scripts are very small and the inscriptions are not too strong, it is usually read using a magnifying glass (lens).

Dev Deepawali is a famous Utsav celebrated every year at the holy city Varanasi. Dev Deepawali which is also spelt as Dev Diwali, is celebrated to mark the victory of Lord Shiva over demon Tripurasur. Hence Dev Deepawali festival is also known as Tripurotsav or Tripurari Purnima which is observed on the auspicious day of Kartik Purnima. Dev Diwali witnesses an illumination of the ghats on River Ganga with thousands of lamps lit in honour of Goddess Ganga.

On the sacred full-moon night (Kartik Purnima), countless pilgrims take a holy dip in the waters of Pushkar Lake and it is believed to wash away all the sins. The Pushkar Fair (Pushkar Camel Fair) or Pushkar Mela, as it is locally known as, is an annual five-day camel and livestock fair held in the city between the months of October and November. It is one of the world’s largest camel fairs. Apart from the buying and selling of livestock, it has become an important tourist attraction. Competitions such as the ‘matka phod’, ‘longest moustache’ and ‘bridal competition’ are the main draws for this fair which attracts thousands of tourists.
